THESE ARE THE RULES TO THE STINGRAY MUSIC CLASSIC 2026 TOURNAMENT
Final Registration and Captain's Party:
Nov 13th 6pm at ___________. A representative from each boat entered in the tournament must pick up your boat number and attend the captain's meeting. At this time, the rules governing the tournament will be explained and any questions will be answered.
Tackle & Equipment:
All Tournament fish must be caught on hook and line/rod and reel.
Leave/Return Inlets:
There are no boundary coordinates but must return to Ponce Inlet and weigh eligible fish at Off The Hook.
Tournament Rules:
This is a 24hr tournament; Every vessel will have from 6pm November 13th till 6pm Nov 14th to fish and report their Catch. Final Reporting will close at 6:15pm on November 14th There are 3 fish categories: Red Fish, Snook, and Trout All Photo Catch and Release
You must text your Boat Name, Registration card Number, and Length Photo to #_321-278-8887 by 6:15 PM Nov 14th, and you will receive confirmation back received. Fishing hours are between 6:00pm Nov 13th and 6:00pm Nov 14th.
NO LINES IN THE WATER BEFORE 6:00 pm AND LINES OUT AT 6:00 pm
There are no limitations of lines or teasers. This tournament is a line and hook tournament meaning you must catch the legal fish with hook and line. No spearing of fish while diving is allowed.
Upon returning from fishing all boats must check in via text, to the phone number provided in your registration card no later than 6:15 p.m. A digital picture of your fish must be captured on the water with your registration # visual in the photo. This photo must be sent to the tournament committee upon arrival back to the dock. This is MANDATORY.
The weighmaster reserves the right to final determination of all eligible photos for overall awards. In the case of a tie, the first to report in is the winner.
This is a total length system and the Longest total length of all 3 species combined tournament, but all fish need to be legal size required by Florida state and Federal regulations. 1st , 2nd, 3rd place Longest total Length in inches of all 3 species combined, if not all 3 are caught then the longest combination of the remaining species will be counted toward grand prize.
In addition Longest Red Fish overall, Longest Snook Overall, Longest Trout Overall will be calcutus at 100% payout.
Only one fish eligible per species. In case of a same sized largest species fish then the first fish reported in wins, Tournament
Fishing Rules/Sportsmanship:
All anglers (or boat if chartered) must be properly licensed. All boats must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. Any violation of any regulations will result in disqualification for that angler and/or the vessel the angler is fishing from. It is the responsibility of the anglers and the captains to review Florida statutes, FWC rules, local and National regulations. All participants will exemplify good sportsmanship whether at the docks, underway or during fishing. Violations will be at the sole discretion of Stingray Music Fishing Classic Committee
Disqualification:
Once you leave your inlet no boats can come together. All boats must leave and return under their own power and fuel supply for the entire fishing day, If a boat cannot return under is own power, it will be disqualified. The only exception, (once the tournament committee is notified), will only be for a boat lending aid to a distressed boat.
Protest:
All decisions for awards of the Stingray music Classic Committee are final and no protests will be allowed unless evidence can be presented that a catch was made in an illegal, or in unacceptable manner that would be deemed inappropriate by FWC, or maritime authorities. Protest of such nature should then be made to the above phone number by no later than 6:15pm at the close of reporting.
Small Craft Advisory and Weather Warning:
In the event the National Weather Service Marine forecast has a "Small Craft Advisory" in effect for winds of 20 knots or more for the fishing day then fishing will be 100% at the discretion of the captain. "Small Craft Exercise Caution" is still Captains Choice and can be a fishing day, fishing day will not be cancelled due to large swells. This is a Captain's Choice tournament. Each captain is always solely responsible for the safety of his or her vessel and crew. Captains and crews are responsible for following any federal, state, and local fishing or boating laws. We encourage all Captains to heed any weather warnings or dangerous weather conditions, as safety is paramount. It is up to each Participant to determine whether their craft is seaworthy for the conditions of any given fishing day.
